Thanks to Yoyoplay.com for graphic.

I got a Powerbrain yo-yo for Christmas. It is an okay yo for people who want to start yo-ing but don’t have a lot of experience. The “advanced” clutch system does not work any better then my x-brain. I guess it would be okay for those who want to do average tricks. “Eiffel tower”, ect. But it can’t hold more then one string in the slit. The most I have got it to sleep for is about 20 seconds. I got about 25 with the rubber O ring taken out.My advice? Save up for a cold fusion, I really want one but just can’t make myself pay the 125 price tag!

I’m just beginning to learn the ways of the yoyo. This one was the only yoyo I could find locally so I bought it. I think its a good choice for beginners do to it always returning unless its put into sleep mode. It really taught me to wing it hard and straight to get good sleep time out of it (10 to 15 sec max I guess). No matter what I do the sleep time isn’t much, but it has allowed me to learn tricks like the trapeze, rock the baby, walking the dog, ect. Although it has taught me to do them fast because of the low sleep times and it has taught me to watch my fingers because once it decides to return it does so and fast! Sometimes I’ll wing it really hard to get a good sleeper and I’ll be half way through my trick and hear it backing up and it can really hurt sometimes. Its best to watch your fingers and untangle it later :) Overall a good yoyo for the newbie like me. I’ve already outgrown it, but I think it has set me up for success with a better yoyo (I just ordered the Custom Chain Reactor and its in the mail). Not a waste of funds at all.
