Whitestein Readies LS/CA for HSPA Mobile Broadband

Whitestein Technologies' client software for seamless mobility, Living Systems Connection Agent (LS/CA), now supports High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) to enable much higher speeds for mobile broadband services.

HSPA exploits the combination of HSDUPA and HSUPA technologies, which deliver up to 7.2Mbps downstream and 1.4Mbps upstream, respectively.

With the upgraded LS/CA, Whitestein continues to offer a best-of-breed mobility client solution. It lets operators take advantage of their entire wireless network portfolio to maximize the availability and consumption of mobile data services.

Leading mobile carrier Swisscom Mobile has already announced that it will be shipping version 6.0 of its "Unlimited Data Manager" based on Whitestein's LS/CA technology, which offers customers almost everywhere ultra high-speed mobile access to the Internet, e-mails or company data.
