Whitestein at the 2005 Agent Technology Conference, Stockholm
The Agent Technology Conference 2005 aims to support the sharing of experiences associated with the creation and deployment of agent-based products and solutions to real business. A clear focus will be to report on and discuss benefits that the technology brings to business. At the ATC 2005, world-leading agent technology experts from some of the most innovative companies in the field will meet representatives from various industries reporting on their agent- based offerings.
Talks will cover a range of issues from the technologies themselves to commercial relevance and strategy, aiming to bring into focus the business opportunities and challenges agent technology creates. This will be complemented by technology demonstrations and a panel session.
Whitestein Technologies AG, which has been supporting and promoting the Agentlink ATC event for the last 4 years, will exhibit its Living Systems Technology Suite (LS/TS) and Living Systems Adaptive Transportation Networks (LS/ATN) products.
LS/TS provides an industry-grade, Java-based middleware and development environment for solutions and products based on software agent technologies and autonomic computing. The new release 1.1, already previewed during the AAMAS 2005 conference, features several improvements in the runtime and tools, and the brand new addition of a Semantic Communication layer, using speech-act based messaging, OWL ontologies, and a set of ready made common interaction protocols.
LS/ATN is a solution for medium to large transportation companies offering optimization and execution capabilities that extend the existing planning products accordingly. LS/ATN provides (semi-)automatic real-time optimization of complex multi-modal transportation networks, significantly reducing operational cost while monitoring and keeping service levels. LS/ATN has proven it's business value in daily operational use at a big transportation company in Germany, and the solution will be deployed throughout Europe for a major logistics provider in the coming months.
This year the ATC event is colocated with the Scandinavian Technical Fair 2005, which focuses on Product Development, Storage and Transportation.
