Whitestein Announces Toolkit for Secure Mobile Authentication
Living Systems EAP Toolkit extends any connection management software with trouble-free, secure authentication using a SIM card or other EAP methods.
Whitestein Technologies today announced the availability of Living Systems EAP Toolkit, the newest addition to its family of mobile connectivity optimization products. Engineered for use in Internet service provider (ISP) and enterprise networks, Living Systems EAP Toolkit enables seamless authentication using a SIM card or other EAP types.
"People on the move need secure and transparent access to wireless and wired networks both at work and in public places," said Dominic Greenwood, COO of Whitestein Technologies. "Network operators are well-advised to offer state-of-the-art authentication technology that is not complicated to use. Ideally, as with the Living Systems EAP Toolkit, it seamlessly blends with the connection management software already present on the users' mobile devices."
Living Systems EAP Toolkit is a quick to deploy option to enable third-party connection managers with standard-compliant 802.1X authentication and EAP extensions capabilities. It supports all leading EAP types and the WISPr protocol for Wi-Fi hotspot authentication. Its cross-platform programming interface facilitates straight-forward integration with any existing architecture and complementary technologies.
Living Systems EAP Toolkit is part of Whitestein's suite of products for mobile connectivity optimization. In combination with the Living Systems SmartShift Mobile IP solution it is ideally suited to improve the user experience in networks with smart traffic offloading from 3G/4G to Wi-Fi.
