Swisscom Mobile Turns Switzerland into One Big Hotspot

With the recently announced roll-out of its new HSDPA turbo network, Swisscom Mobile is providing a broadband technology mix that is not only unique in Switzerland, but also leads the way in the rest of Europe - based on Whitestein technology.

To offer the mobile user an easy access to the new high-speed network, Swisscom Mobile also offers a new version of the award-winning "Mobile Unlimited."

The solutions includes the new Unlimited PC Card 5in1, plus a new release of the Unlimited Data Manager – a smart software component, based on Whitestein Technologies' autonomous Living Systems Connection Agent, which allows customers to enjoy the benefits of seamless handover: the software autonomously searches for the best available network (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA and WLAN) at any given time, and seamlessly switches between the five access technologies as needed.
