Swisscom Mobile Launches Unlimited Data Manager 1.5

The new version of the successful Unlimited Data Manager now supports the Option GT COMBO EDGE data card. In Switzerland, EDGE is available almost everywhere, allowing users to transfer data at around 120 kBit/s on average, with a maximum of 230 kBit/s.

The Unlimited Data Manager 1.5 adds an easy to use SMS client and support for advanced WLAN authentication for private and corporate users (WPA-PSK, 802.11i). And naturally, it still supports seamless handover among the Swisscom Mobile wireless networks GPRS/EDGE/UMTS and WLAN. Installation support for corporate administrators has been greatly improved by switching to the MSI Installer and allowing all settings to be pre-configured and locked down by the administrator.

The Unlimited Data Manager 1.5 is available from Swisscom Mobile and in several shops. Users of the UDM 1.0 can upgrade on line from within the application.
