Release of LS/ABPM Version 1.1.1 and LS/ABPM SDK

The latest release of Whitestein’s novel business process management suite natively supports BPMN 1.0 and extends goal-oriented modeling notation, among other improvements.

Whitestein Technologies today announced the release of LS/ABPM 1.1.1, the latest version of its novel suite for goal-oriented, autonomic BPM, and of the LS/ABPM Software Development Kit (SDK).

New features and extended capabilities in LS/ABPM 1.1.1 include:

  • Improved GO-BPMN: GO-BPMN, the goal-oriented extension of BPMN, has been extended with a new expression language and a more comprehensive standard library.
  • Organizational management: This new feature of GO-BPMN brings more flexibility to the assignment of human tasks and adds capabilities for role decomposition, which allows the process engine to more flexibly (re)assign tasks in exceptional conditions.
  • Comprehensive support of standard BPMN: LS/ABPM now includes extensive native support for the OMG standard BPMN 1.0, including BPMN events, transactions, and signals.
  • More powerful Management Console features: Improved monitoring and debugging tools enable process owners and system administrators to gain an at-a-glance view of process and system performance.

In addition, Whitestein released the LS/ABPM SDK, which allows software developers to extend the standard application more easily using the LS/ABPM API. Among other things, the SDK supports the implementation of application-specific functions and BPMN activities for reuse in GO-BPMN process models. It further enables the implementation of custom rendering components to create more sophisticated process-driven user screens as an alternative to the automatically generated GUI.
