Powered by LS/CA: Swisscom Mobile Launches Notebooks with Pre-Installed Mobile Internet

Swisscom Mobile, in cooperation with the notebook vendors Acer and Fujitsu Siemens, is launching a series of notebooks with pre- installed Unlimited Data Manager, based on Whitestein Technologies' unique autonomous Living Systems Connection Agent (LS/CA).

The notebooks are equipped with built-in Mini-PCI Express based modules for 3G+ communication as well as wireless LAN data cards, enabling connections to GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA and WLAN 802.11b/g networks. The bundled Unlimited Data Manager provides the users hassle-free "one-click" connections to the Internet wherever they are, always making use of the fastest available connection channels. Furthermore, the UDM avoids the unnecessary interruptions whilst switching between networks found with the solutions of other providers, keeping the users seamlessly connected all the time.
