Kirsten Soldering Wins Design Award with System Running Whitestein's LS/TS
Whitestein customer Kirsten Soldering proudly announced its successful nomination for the renowned red dot award for product design. The winning modula wave® soldering system is controlled by software developed using the LS/TS agent platform
Kirsten's innovative modula wave® won an honorable mention from the international red dot award jury for its innovative hardware and software design. It is the first truly modular wave soldering system that supports on-the-fly reconfiguration of its components. The system's novel visualization and control unit was developed using the Living Systems® Technology Suite agent platform in order to support the dynamic, self-configuring properties that make this offering a true innovation.
Since its introduction in 2008, modula wave® has already been selected by several large-scale customers to replace traditional systems and has received substantial praise at international trade fairs.
"We congratulate Kirsten Soldering for this outstanding recognition and are proud to have contributed the development of this system," said Urs-Peter Oehen, Chairman and CEO of Whitestein Technologies.
