Urs-Peter Oehen has served as Member of the Board of Directors of Whitestein Technologies since 2002 and as its Chairman since 2007.
Urs-Peter Oehen is Co-founder, Chairman & CEO of Expersoft Systems AG, a leading provider of innovative software solutions for portfolio, asset, and wealth management. Founded in 1992, Expersoft currently serves over 200 clients worldwide from its headquarters in Switzerland and through its subsidiaries and distributors in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and North America. Prior to founding Expersoft, Urs-Peter Oehen was portfolio manager at the global retail group METRO. Besides his engagement on the Board of Whitestein Technologies, he is Member of the Board of Directors of various other companies.
Marius Walliser, Founder, President & CEO
Marius Walliser has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitestein Technologies since its incorporation in January 1999.
From 1983 through 1998, Marius was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GfAI Group for Applied Informatics AG, a Swiss software company with subsidiaries in several European countries, which he founded in 1983 and successfully built up to one of the most reputable Swiss software and service companies before selling it to CSC Computer Science Corporation. Prior to that, Marius Walliser was with IBM Switzerland for ten years in various positions, most recently in charge of scientific relations and executive education. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Marius served on the boards of directors of several IT companies and organizations during the last 20 years.
Marius Walliser holds a Master's degree in econometrics and operations research from the University of Berne, Switzerland.
Stefan Brantschen, Co-founder & SVP Advanced Technologies
Stefan Brantschen has been with Whitestein Technologies since its inception in January 1999.
From 1997 to 1998, Stefan was Vice President Management Services of GfAI Group for Applied Informatics AG, a major Swiss software and service provider. From 1989 through 1997, he held several management positions within GfAI, among them Head of Business Development and Quality Management, and Head of CASE/Methodology Consulting. Before joining GfAI in 1989, Stefan Brantschen was with Disetronic AG, a major Swiss provider of medical equipment, where he was responsible for the development of miniaturized equipment for diabetes diagnosis and therapy, in cooperation with the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Prior to that, Stefan held positions of systems engineer and project manager in Ascom AG, Switzerland, a by then leading provider of telecom and other high-tech products and services, in the area of fail-safe, distributed real-time software and hardware for digital telephone exchanges.
Stefan Brantschen holds a Master of Science degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.
Christian Dannegger, VP Logistics & Control Systems
Christian Dannegger has been with Whitestein Technologies since 2003.
From 1996 to June 2003, Christian served as CTO of living systems AG, which he co-founded in 1996. Under his management, living systems AG has been a pioneer in agent technology, being very successful in serving more than 30 customers worldwide. The success of living systems AG was very highly acknowledged by the market. living systems AG has won several awards, including Best German Internet Company, and Leading Technology Pioneer as recognized by the World Economic Forum. Prior to that, Christian developed ERP systems at Baeurer AG, where he headed the technical product development and was responsible for the strategic reorientation of product development.
Christian regularly publishes articles and papers in business and technology magazines covering logistics, supply net management, and software agent technology. Recognized as a visionary business-driven technologist, Christian was nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 in Germany.
Christian Dannegger holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Furtwangen Polytechnic Institute, Germany.
Monique Calisti, Head of Innovation, Telecom Systems
Monique Calisti joined Whitestein Technologies in 2002.
From 1997 to March 2002, Monique was research scientist and lecturer at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). Her main area of activity covered coordination and negotiation techniques between distributed (and eventually self-interested) software agents controlling distinct resources. During her period at EPFL, Monique has attended the Doctoral School in Telecommunication Systems (1997), and she obtained a postgraduate diploma in multi-agent systems (1999). From 1996 until 1997, before joining EPFL, Monique was a research assistant at the Electrical and Computer Science Department at the University of Bologna (Italy), where she worked on packet switching in optical networks.
Monique regularly publishes articles and papers in renowned journals in the area of network management and multi-agent technology. 2001 to 2005, Monique was a member of the FIPA board of directors and the chair of the FIPA Image Committee. Since 2007, she is member of the Board of Directors for the Autonomic Communication Forum (ACF).
Monique Calisti holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), and a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from Università degli Studi di Bologna, Italy.
Dominic Greenwood, Head of Innovation, Advanced Technologies
Dominic Greenwood joined Whitestein Technologies in 2003.
From 2000 through 2003, Dominic was a Member of Research Staff in the Network Agent Research group of Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc., based in Sunnyvale, California. In this position he was involved in several key agent-related research and technology transfer activities, including the development of international standards. Prior to that, Dominic was with Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Ltd. for three years in the role of Senior Research/Development Engineer with responsibility for distributed network management product innovation and research activities.
Dominic pursues business-oriented innovation particularly in the areas of intelligent distributed systems, software agent and autonomous systems, autonomic computing and service-oriented computing. He regularly publishes in renowned journals and at international conferences, especially those with relevance to business domains including telecommunications systems and logistics and control systems.
Dominic Greenwood holds a Ph.D. in Communications Systems from Staffordshire University, United Kingdom.
Peter Neurath, Country Manager Slovakia
Peter Neurath has served as Country Manager of the Slovak subsidiary Whitestin Technologies s.r.o. and as project manager of key projects since March 2000.
From 1998 to 2000, Peter served as Business Unit Manager of Aitecon s.r.o., the predecessor of Whitestein Technologies s.r.o. He was responsible for the management of various projects for technology products in the area of distributed systems and object-oriented databases. Prior to that, he held positions of software engineer and project manager in the same company. Since 2000, Peter Neurath works as a lecturer at the faculty of mathematics, physics, and informatics of Comenius University, Bratislava, concentrating on the areas of architecture of distributed systems and project management.
Peter Neurath holds a Master's degree in informatics and artificial intelligence from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
