Shortly after its inception in 1999, Whitestein Technologies acquired Aitecon s.r.o. (today: Whitestein Technologies s.r.o.), a Slovak high tech company with a strong know-how and experience in object-oriented and distributed software development. In 2003, Whitestein Technologies acquired Living Systems GmbH, Germany (today: Whitestein Technologies GmbH). Founded in 1996, Living Systems pioneered the development and use of industry-grade software agent technologies in real-world products and solutions.
As of today, Whitestein Technologies has a highly qualified team of 70+ people at four European centers and locations. While most of its (potential) competitors are busy with corresponding research and development activities in their labs, Whitestein Technologies has already gained valuable experience in several real-world, mission-critical customer projects of how to make practical use of autonomic, self-managing technologies.
Whitestein's customers include leading global enterprises in the telecom, logistics, manufacturing, and automotive industries, as well as technology companies, universities, and other research institutions.
Based on its global market approach, Whitestein Technologies, from the outset, has put emphasis on building an international network of strong and reputable business partners. To focus and bundle its efforts, the company is interested to delegate to business partners an increasing part of the services needed to specify, implement, and integrate customer-specific solutions of Whitestein's products.
Due to its innovative and attractive product offering and its remarkable initial market successes, Whitestein Technologies has already been able to enter promising collaborations with several major product and service providers, as well as global system integrators.
