Shortly after its inception in 1999, Whitestein Technologies acquired Aitecon s.r.o. (today: Whitestein Technologies s.r.o.), a Slovak high tech company with a strong know-how and experience in object-oriented and distributed software development.

In 2003, Whitestein Technologies acquired Living Systems GmbH, Germany (today: Whitestein Technologies GmbH). Founded in 1996, Living Systems pioneered the development and use of industry-grade software agent technologies in real-world products and solutions.
